Most days on the ICW require motoring all day long so bring all the diesel. 2.5 gallons of gas is great plenty. The generator doesnít burn much charging batteries unless you have big battery bank....

Liquid electrical tape will seal up any type of connection. Not pretty but effective!

May sound stupid but check the spark plugs. Have a 40 and one fouled plug looks like a fuel problem.

We do it with a spectra Ventura 150 just using a tee. Donít run the wash down pump while making water.

Turn your radar on during the day and watch, even yours will show any boat. Any radar on a big boat will see you if they are looking. My Garmin always shows any kind of boat with good range.

Look for an outlet that is GFI. That needs reset. It was common to run from the breaker to the GFI outlet and then to the others. GFI trips all are dead.

Bridge today is 52 feet. If it doesnít rain much it will get higher. Fill your tanks and provision like there is a pandemic and go for it. Go slow!

If the wire is coming out of the unit attached to the wheel the drive belt is coming apart. Easy to replace.

As A64Pilot stated DO NOT USE regular house wire. Corrosion is not the issue. Solid wire will break from the vibration on a boat.

Make sure the eco mode is off so the generator is at full speed. If you have remote panel go in and change the shore power max to match the generator output.199805
