1/2 Price Neel 47 Charter
I still haven’t gotten any takers on my offer of $1,000 off on my Neel 47 charter out of Cogolin, France, so I’m sweetening the deal. Charter the Neel 47 out of Cogolin, France July 2 - 9 and I’ll...

$1,000 discount on Saint Tropez trimaran charter
Hello fellow members,
I have chartered a Neel 47 out of Cogolin, France (close to Saint Tropez) July 2 -9. Unfortunately I’ve come down with a sudden illness and my doctor says it would be reckless...

Maryland/new jersey Fly attack
While transiting north along the coasts of Maryland and New Jersey we and other boats were descended upon by hoards of biting flies. We were 10-20 miles off shore with no seaweed or flotsum to speak...

Re: Firefly not reaching 13.2 volts, not resetting to 100% SOC
I agree with Dave, you need a bigger alternator. As a cludge you can disconnect all but one battery from shorepower and restore one at a time. That’s what I did and it worked well.

Re: Portable generator setup with aircon and inverter
If you run a portable generator you will be the most hated man in the anchorage. They are loud and obnoxious. Get some solar panels and wind scoops or get a hotel with aircon.

Re: Navionics charts any good for Bahamas after their 2018 revisions?
We have been cruising the Abacos for the past two weeks. I believe many people may be confused between the Navionics charts on chart plotters, such as our Raymarine Axiom, and the Navionics charts on...

Re: Center Cockpits: pros and cons
We love our Brewer 44 and it has an aft swim platform. Another advantage is that you’re much closer to the bow. Makes communicating with deck crew when anchoring, docking or mooring much easier. Also...

I’m thinking of buying a trimaran with a steerable sail drive. Does anyone have experience with them, good or bad. Only people with actual experience please.

Perkins 4.236
I’m selling my Perkins 4.236. It runs great and gets stellar oil analysis ratings. It has 6,000 hours and is in need of an overhaul, but still has a lot of life left in it.
