Hello,
My wife and I are in the process of buying a Sea Ray 240 Sundancer. I'm not at all worried about the boat, but the lender is requiring a survey. Does anyone know of a cheap surveyor in the...

Re: outlet problem

If it's AC the two "plug ins" on the outlet get power from one set of black/white wires. The other set would be going on down the line to the next device.

Re: 12v positive and 24v negative possible?

Re: 12v positive and 24v negative possible?

I don't fully understand what you are asking, but you have to complete the circuit back to the battery that the positive is coming from. If the 12v and 24v share their ground circuits, then it would...

Re: Dry Tortugas or Bahamas

Thanks again Steve. I have spent some time with "Chart No.1" online, but that would definitely be something handy to have on board.

Re: Dry Tortugas or Bahamas

Chris, Thanks for your input and for sharing those amazing pics! We (especially the admiral) like a happy mix of quiet relaxation and touristy hustle-bustle, so maybe a week in the Keys with a couple...

Re: Dry Tortugas or Bahamas

Thank you, the "cool magical" thing is a big part of what I was curious about. I knew I would get that in the Bahamas, but wasn't sure about the Keys/DT. Good to know about the facilities in Bimini...

Re: Dry Tortugas or Bahamas

Thank you both for the great input. We plan to do both eventually, just trying to decide which would be better. We have one 13 year old boy, but the first trip will probably just be the two of us.

Re: Dry Tortugas or Bahamas

OK, thank you, good advice. I didn't mention specifically, but I was referring to a power boat, not a sail boat, so I should be able to make it there from Key West in a few hours I think. Is there...

Re: Need Help: Troubleshooting Batteries Optimas / 8Ds

Agree with both above comments. Although it would be a major pain in the rear, the best thing to do would be to remove the batteries and haul them all in to the parts store for a load test. Voltage...
