Wanted one of these too- but I've heard that when navigating in relatively shallow water, its distance in front if the boat it displays will become less. Which makes sense.

I understand it’s more efficient to charge these items directly from the battery bank. Buck transformer? It would also help to keep a tidier “charging station” if I could splice everything into 19v...

The boat displaces 15,000 so I’m pretty sure it’s the smaller one (type 1) I believe. I’m not sure how it connects to the computer or control head..

It was on the boat I just bought. I think the controller was busted but the drive works. It just says auto helm 5000 on it. I don’t know much more than that!

Did you see that Westerly 33 in St. Martin? Not sure how she weathered Irma but could be a good option for you. I think it was around 20k- and just crossed the Atlantic.
