Sail Care has Novabraid XLE line for $1.39 and $2.03 per foot for 5/8". Never bought line from them, but have gotten tons of blocks and stuff from them, never had an issue.

You can always call the health department where you plan to sail out of - I would guess they'd have jurisdiction - I know when I ran a restaurant, they were pretty helpful when we had questions. ...
