O'Day went out of business in 1989 and some of the unfinished hulls and decks were completed by other yards. One was completed by a group from Alden. Might be a good find.

What kind of boat and what type mainsail do you have? I ask because some boats sail better with a little pre-bend in the mast so the position of the mast step alon with the wedge becomes a factor.

I use orthotics in Astral Loyak for sailing. They accommodate inserts. I crushed both heels in a climbing accident and have tried everything. Dansko tie shoes work well around a boatyard.

1x19 cable has 2 types of stretch, construction stretch and dynamic stretch. Construction stretch is a factor in new cable and is eventually eliminated after a number of load cycles. Dynamic stretch...

J105s race with furlers. There are lots of photos that show lead positions. Imo, the best thing for headsail trim is an inhaul.

Running an anchor rode through a snatch block and back to a winch works when you don't have a windlass handy. Using halyards to lift stuff works too. Lots of strength multipliers on a sailboat.
