I was thinking that was an interesting design for a boat as I scrolled through the first photos, but then the big surprise was very interesting at the end.

As long as it is structurally sound... that looks like a great boat. Or could be a great boat with a cleaning and bottom paint.

If I ever decide to build a boat, that is about the stage I would want to get it.

I would probably finish it differently than the typical plans call for though. I would reinforce the crossbeams...

I wanted to see the interior. I know the performance would be impacted, but I would like that kind of head room in that size of boat.

I've always liked the layout of the Gemini's.

It doesn't look like it is in too bad of shape, and with some cosmetic updates it could work out well for someone.

Even a third of that wouldn't be "cheap". Now, it might be a good price for that boat,and it could be a good boat, but it should go in the "moderately expensive multis and production" thread. :)

I think the issue is who is in the market for a 25-34' catamaran and who is in the market for a 40-49' catamaran are two different markets. One, you can get away with charging a higher profit margin...

I like the concept, but just make it a little bigger and more for live-aboards... It needs a net in the front too. I would do it a little different in terms of propulsion though.

I'm not sure how big it is on the inside, but that isn't a bad price for a boat that looks to be ready to sail.

The interiors need some serious 'modernization'. But, it looks like a good catamaran for the money. And it could be a great boat for two short people (under 6').

You would be hard pressed to build a floating 49' tri for $500.

I'm sure it is in horrible condition if they are selling it that cheap, but still would be a good starting point compared to...
