The down pressure is indeed huge. A static 28 inch high column of water exerts one pound per square inch then you can add the velocity at which the water is moving and you have a considerable force

The report says"The cabin windows on Essence were approximately double the size specified under the Regulations ". The regs specify 1852 sq cms. Assuming this means one window, not the total of all...

I would have thought that if you are going to build a monocoque structure such as a moulded fibreglass boat then the shell structure should have equal strength and stiffness. If you are going to cut...
