I disagree. Taking that Trapper 500 for example, if maintained I suspect Demonius could recoup much of the investment plus improvements, in 5 years time. The yacht looks in good condition, clean...

An excellent plan, and sailing lots of different yachts will give you an idea of what you really want.

Anyway, were are we with boats? have we found a nice French or German fin keeled fast boat to sail off into the sunset with?

What I was trying to say is that you are competing with those who would finance a yacht with a loan and £10k is easy to do that with affordable repayments. A move to the £20-30k bracket is too much...

Indeed, the only people with any money at the moment are those pensioners drawing their final salary pensions, living a a house that was paid off years ago and have a yacht. They don't need to sell...

Yep, I agree. Even going up to £20k doesn't solve the problem.

New guard rails btw were £200 from force 4 in Swanwick. I took one old rail in and had them made on the spot on Saturday morning...
