Not sure but that engine looks like an Isuzu to me and they did use Diesel KiKi high-pressure pumps before Zexel bought them out. If it's an Isuzu a rebuild would not be out of the question

Have you priced out 16 or 19mm teak recently? That's why so many remove and not replace.

I've replaced one teak deck and removed another. I would not call either normal maintenance. Lots of bungs missing and the bungholes appear to be rather shallow. If the deck is leaking it's a pretty...

A new marinized Mitsubishi S4L2 42hp with a TMC gearbox is $6800 plus delivery. Then the fun begins.

That year Seabreeze had the aluminum centerboard. It worked well enough but is subject to corrosion and more maintenance.

CS 44 for $10,000 dismasted by Irma. Very well built boat IMO.
