All the evidence about speed etc proves bulbs only makes a difference over about 18 knots (IIRC) hence they adorn large ships who make constant "high" speeds.

According to one South African sailor I met those sacrificial bulbs were responsible for the Deancat (the lowest bridge deck, heaviest weight cat I have ever seen - I mean it has a bathtub FFS)...

I did fixed windows in the hull on my 35 in the rear cabins and it transformed it - great light, ideal height for those in the bunks to lie there and look out at the water, very much worthwhile and...

They had a couple of restructures but were still in business in 2000 - my friend had the very last Elite built in 2000 (though not finished by Prout). Thankfully I have a 76 Snowgoose which is built...

Actually the Escale was built by "proper" Prout but in their declining years and many were very well built. The same design was built by Prout SA as the Manta. Broadblue started with a modified 42...

Into wind in any sort of sea they slam like a SOB - in for F6 with quite big seas the factory tabbing on my heads sink pod broke away we were slamming so much - she is 40 years old to be fair but...

Just had to replace my cable and got one from Cabletec on eBay for £65 for a 4.5m cable (on my 35 Snowgoose) - fitted straight in to the steering fitting from Sillette though I must confess I didn't...
