Re: Feature Requests
I brought that up in 2015.... and created a flyspray entry (bug and feature tracker, aka cemetery of good ideas :whistling: ) There also the weather-routing plugin was mentioned, which is a... |

Re: Feature Requests
Or allow the user to "lock" to a chart via the chart bar, so opencpn doesn't switch to the next chart while panning. Dirk |

Re: Feature Requests

Re: Feature Requests
Yes! Or a button/Function key to toggle quilting. I often need to disable the quilting to find navigational notes on the chart, then re-enable quilting after reading the note. The right-click... |

Re: Feature Requests
I am fine with using external solutions, especially since VSPE is free. But then Opencpn should be able to read the TCPIP output from VSPE (or GPSGate, or NavMonPc). Then one could avoid creating... |

Re: Feature Requests
Until OpenCPN does this, you could use "NavMonPc". It can read a serial port handshake line (CTS) and use it to trigger MOB. The Raymarine Lifetag system has a contact for the piezo-alarm, this would... |

Re: Feature Requests
Yeah, Raymarine should have done that. I also killed two seatalk<->nmea converters (E85001). Then I bought a brookhouse nmea multiplexer with seatalk. Works since 2008. We might be slightly... |

Re: Feature Requests, Display Loran TD's
Not exactly what you want, but maybe still helpful... Most NOAA raster charts for that area do show Loran TDs. This screenshot is from chart 13325_1.kap and does show TD 5930-X-13520. Charts... |

Re: Feature Request
This is unfortunate.... The hide-able "print", "track", and the plug-in icons made me believe otherwise. Thanks, I used the <hide-in-toolbar/>tag to hide tide and current (not needed in the... |

Re: Feature Request
Thanks! Yep, some inconsistencies.... One button I would like, towards touchscreen (or mouse/pointer only), is F11 = full screen. And to get out of it again. Could be like the printing... |

Re: Feature Request
Yeah! That's what I meant, should have added a little picture.... I would prefer it the other way around: "Auto Follow = F2" Dirk |

Feature Request
Show hot-key in text for "mouse-over" for each button. I sometimes need to be reminded.... like F2 = toggle auto-follow F3 = toggle vector-chart-text on/off etc Dirk |

Re: NMEA sentences
Your system seems similar to mine. I do like the way OpenCPN handles the input of HDG: At standstill or very slow speed, the COG from a GPS is random. And without HDG, the boat in OpenCPN... |

Re: NMEA sentences
I believe OpenCPN uses HDG if it exists in the NMEA stream, otherwise it uses COG. No manual selection. Maybe add your feature request to OpenCPN::Tracker All Projects: Tasklist... |

Locking a chart to be able to read notes

And don't forget the anchor watch feature...
And don't forget the anchor watch feature request. That would require to zoom in far enough to see the swing radius at anchor, no matter what chart is being used. |
