Osmosis

Edmund,
I do not know whether the Fountaine Pajots have osmosis problems. Fibreglass polyester (or vinylesters) can absorb humidity, how severe this is depends on materials and process but also on...

Vayacondios, I wouldn't worry about the thread getting lost. I have backed up the entire thread on my hard disk, and probably I am not the only one.

Thread split

Hi all,
My worry would also be threads dying because of too little happening in some. e.g. Mark mentions one on refrigeration, but I can't remember many (or even one) post on this.

What I think...

Using a laptop

Martin,
I am curious about your setup, since I might also switch to using the laptop as plotter. Or a combination of laptop inside and plotter at the helm.
Which PC navigation SW do you use? Which...

Rib outboard

Edmund,
We have a 6 HP single cylinder Suzuki 4-stroke. Supplied by Fountaine Pajot.
Rib is Valiant 270 cm. I would say 300 cm is the max.
The 6 HP will plane the rib with 2 adults with full...

Some advise on commisioning the boat:
Take one full day at least, without others present.
Systematically fully inspect every part of the ship for damages and...

Lori,
Sorry, I was off the thread for some time.
I have purchased the ecopilot last autumn. Probably I will mount it this week, it was very cold here.
The ecopilot is basically a connector with...

Scott,
You are completely right that the buoyancy chambers should not be touched.
We have not drilled holes in these, only in the multiplex board. The matrasses have slatted floors under them so...

Scott,
We have already modified all our matrasses using a better foam quality, since the standard matrasses become soft on the place where you are lying mostly. You tend to roll into the hole then....

Hi all,
I guess the source of the noise is different in all Mahe's. Reason for my guess is that we experience completely different sources of noise.
In Miss Poes, we had a very irritating noise...
