Re: Lofrains windlass
Not yet. Sailboat hasn't been on the radar lately but a launch date is looming. That'll force me aboard very soon. Will post as I have more. |

Re: Lofrains windlass
Haven't had a chance to search for the handle. Must have put it somewhere for safe keeping. Nothing overly technical to it, just a hollow stainless pipe. |

Re: Lofrains windlass
Here are some photos. Still have the box, however I am scratching my head as to where the rod/handle is. Must be on my boat as it was shipped separate. |

Lofrains windlass
I have a Lofrains Royal Manual Windlass for sale. 5/16HT Chain gypsy. It never made it out of the sail loft after a purchase about five years back. Still in the box. I'd take $550 plus shipping from... |

Re: Wood blue water boat opinions, would you buy one
My brother still owns a Herreschoff H-23 that was built in the fifties. Mahogany on oak. A former owner pulled out the auxiliary for storage space and transom mounted a British seagull outboard. Then... |

Re: Adding wireless remote to a old Autohelm 3000
Nice job! I'd be happy with just the wired remote for my 3000. One day a few years back and not knowing the gyro makeup of the controller... Had the bright idea to take the controller with me forward... |

Re: Purchased boat, now notice Documented number
You say the owner prior, knew nothing of the documentation. That's a problem as the boat ownership was never transferred to him properly. You may have to track down the original owner who likely is... |

Re: 300 lb dingy for 20' 2000 lb sailboat?
I had a zodiac 7' with a roll up slat floor. It'll take a two hp outboard also. Towed and stowed easily and weighed less that 60 lbs. it was very stable for two people and rowed well. but I wouldn't... |

Re: 300 lb dingy for 20' 2000 lb sailboat?
It'll make a great storm drogue. You need a small rollable inflatable that can stow below deck. i had a ten foot zodiac that slowed my old 23', 4 ton herreshoff down by two knots. |

Re: New Member - First Question
Marshall Catboats are popular in the Northeast here. 18' & 22' lengths that I know of. I believe they were designed for the shallow Chesapeake Bay(?) shallow draft, center board setup with large... |

Re: What yacht is this?
Lived aboard a new Fuji 35 with my entire family in the seventies. The only difference I can note is we had a captains wheel aft at the lazarette instead. All else identical. If not a close copy... |

Re: Holding Tank Mystery?
Both those ideas are very likely. I know that as a 32 yr old boat the vent hose is small, probably 1/4" ID, and likely clogged. It's been on the to do list. This winter for sure. It's the last of the... |

Re: Holding Tank Mystery?
There was only an on and off button. Followed the instructions from the dock master. That would make sense if they had it set incorrectly. |

Holding Tank Mystery?
Sadly, Haul out time looms. Two days ago I ran over to the Marina to do the seasons last pumpout and rinse. As we typically employ a mobile pumpout boat, this was my first solo attempt to use the... |

Re: Shroud Extensions?
Probably best to rewire them. Thanks for the push. This has been driving me nuts. The rig is nothing to take chances with. I love my boat and my boat loves my money. |

Re: Shroud Extensions?
