Just keep an eye on the weather, have a plan if a winter storm hits. Some parts of the ICW don't have good anchorages.

I think he is suggesting to anchor in the channel between G15 and R16, chart shows deep water in between pilings, but I wouldn't try that with a cruising size boat, since the channel seems to go...

Check out the grib forecast for Sun PM->Tues PM...there would be some motor sailling here and there.
Also having lighter winds forward ain't such a bad thing.

I would be prepared to jump into St.Johns river (class A) if you have strong on shore winds, and then motor down ICW to SA. I've done SJ at night, it's a nice wide straight shot in. I've left NC on...
