A real oil bath is like the old vw bugs had. You can still buy the foam filters & they work ok. K & N filters are great, I've used them for years, a little expensive but I think worth the price.

You are only to test a battery @ half it cold cranking capacity, not amp hour capacity. You should also test it three times with a pause of aprox 20 to 30 seconds between test.
