Ok sorry so little info . The voltage light stays on and the bolt that broke was the one holding the alternator to the engine it basically sheared off.
I have no wiring diagram for the alternator ...

Yes there seems to be two but only one does repairs and the rumour has it that they hang onto it for a very long time before anything gets done but we shall see!

Sorry forgot to say the length of the boat does include anything overhanging and they will come and measure so by taking off or wrapping would be a good idea to keep you below the 50' mark.
