I'm looking into doing my RYA Yachtmaster Ocean, or the equivalent.
Does anyone know the equivalent standard in ASA or CYA?

A bit off topic electrical question

I'looking to make a seriously bright torch. Its gonna be an over the top umbilical diving torch. so it doesnt need to be focused, but needs a good spread.I'm thinking using something like this 8000...

I'm looking to crew for anyone for the '12 arc. I will be in las palmas for the start of the arc. I plan to sail there from Ireland aboard a dehler 36. But thats as far as ill be going aboard...

Dynamic Climbing Ropes Used on Boats ?

I heard someone mention recently something about using dynamic (stretchy) climbing ropes for climbing masts. their reasoning was that is is "safer", i dont see how that would be as you wouldnt...
