Re: No serial port
My laptop does not have a serial port. I joined the serial output from my GPS to a USB, and got it to work. Did this 10years ago so details are a bit vague now. |

Re: Dinghy tow lines, best products, type of line, etc.

Re: Dingy Horsepower, need minimum weight!
I had a 2hp yam as my first dinghy engine. Lovely motor, and sufficient to move my 30ft catamaran when secured alongside. Was a bit warm after a couple of miles! That engine finally needed to be... |

Re: Upwind strategy?
Lots of great advice, but there are a couple of other elements to add to the problem. Current and wave train. Having drawn your cone, you need to look at these two elements as well. Bashing in to... |

Re: Family thinking of cruising, new to catamarans
As you are new to cats, a few comments may help from the POV of my 25 year sailing and owning catamarans. You make no comment about size/price area. Cats tend to be a bit more expensive than what... |

Re: Summer Discussion: Diesel Heater Installation on Multihulls
Sounds like the normal espar (eberspacher in Europe) ducts. Real stinky for a while and then burn clean. I left mine running for about 4 hours, and the stinky was but a memory. |
