I have had no problems with insurance through Pantaenius, Dux is a Lloyd’s certified product, I think Colligo have done around 900 yachts now with a zero failure rate. |

Saw a post on FB from somebody who just set up a unit in Thailand and it was working, we are heading north up Qld coast to Indo at present so hopefully still working we get there. |

We have LA start with two 15 amp DC DC chargers feeding Lipo house battery, also have seperate alternator dedicated to house battery that is temp regulated. |

It is possible to get temporary registration to cover the voyage, As an Australian citizen your vessel must carry registration prior to departure, I’d be giving AMSA a call |

I used a threaded T ball fitting and threaded toggle fitting, left and right hand threads and got a threaded coupler nut machined to join them, sourced parts from Bluewave |

Drive units are usually dumb, in that they get a reversing current from control unit either forward or reverse, rudder feedbacks of the newer type are sometimes not backward compatible |
