Wow, i see what you mean. I am in a pretty similar position: I am buying a boat that I don't want to register in canada (and may never bring here, ever) but no american companies will insure it...

Sorry I wasn't more specific! I said the West coast because the project will entail sailing from alaska to LA and then to hawaii, including stops in every province and state between.
