Looks more like stagflation. Inflation for things not measured by the CPI, and deflation for everything else.

BTW, coinflation.com gives a running PM value of the older coins.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Still looking as my budget allows, but as was mentioned before I might have to go south to find better deals. Prices in the NW seem much higher than elsewhere.

I can't really add much to these great responses, other than my observation that dehydrating foods can be really inexpensive. I use a basic "American Harvest" food dehydrator that I got at Goodwill...
