Excellent observation however sailing a catamaran has quite a number of differences to a mono hull sailing! I believe a Catamaran offer more safety than a mono if sailed by an experienced sailor...

Home built Catamarans could be problematic when you expect it least, somehow consistency regulations are as vague as some homemade cats are build to generate money and not reach a dream!

Hi Mark,

Agreed it was mostly used on power boats somehow these powerhouses get fitted to single motor sailing catamarans more frequently than ever.

No its not a sail drive I am referring to....

Wow, it certainly seems if lot can be said for a boom mast, perhaps a debate on advantages and disadvantages on a mast furl as opposed to a boom furl, should be very interesting.
