Re: Airoplanes boats dogs and cats

Howdy! I'm afraid I cannot answer your question. However; while attempting to fly a cat from the US to somewhere in the Windward islands, I have learned that you cannot trust the airline web sites...

Re: MPPT solar controller: Morningstar Prostar v Tristar

Jill, I have run the same TS-MPPT-45 on two different motorhomes (650 watts) over the last four years and it has been perfect the entire time. I am now installing a new one on my boat.

First pick an airline that is...

Help Importing Pet To Windwards

HELP!!

I have a cat that I would like to take with me to my new boat (currently in St. Lucia). I looked up the import rules in St. Lucia and, while a nuisance, they can be dealt with. So, I...

Re: MPPT Solar controller: What is the good, the bad, the ugly

Buy a name brand controller. My Morningstar TS-MPPT-45 has been working flawlessly for several years. This assumes you aren't being struck by lightening or something...

Re: Looking that way

ZOWIE!!! I would be gone tomorrow! It would be a nicely equipped 36' monohull for $100k or less and I would live like a king on the $5k/month. Actually, I would live very comfortably on $2k/month...

Re: Show Me Your V-Berth

I'm really late to the thread but I like what you all have done. If anyone has photos of a more "workshop" oriented forward cabin, I'd sure like to see them. Thanks!

Re: Do You Buy Parts From ebay ?

Re: Tips for first overnight solo sail

Re: Average cost to go solar/wind on sailboat?

Like everything else, it depends! :-) It is highly dependent on your do-it-yourself and scrounging skills (as opposed to buying off the shelf and highering the work).

In really round numbers...
