Seems the throttles are a little off with RPM on the Port engine about 300 higher than starboard (according to the tachs). Does it matter if one engine is turning over faster than the other while...

Re: Help! Transitioning from sail to twin screws

Re: Help! Transitioning from sail to twin screws

Snowing here too, keeping me from doing the sea-trial and completing.

The legs mated to the Volvo 5.7s don't have rudders behind the props so I am not sure what turning the wheel does.

Wake:
A few weeks back a large power boat flew past and threw a wave that broke over the bow of the HUnter and soaked our cabin through the open hatch. We were in a no wake zone at the time.

If...

Re: Help! Transitioning from sail to twin screws

Thanks, I wondered if applying the tabs before accelerating wouldn't make the boat work harder than necessary, it makes sense to me to apply them when almost planing.

They say the tabs help fuel...

Re: Help! Transitioning from sail to twin screws

Thanks for the help all of you, I have been watching these twin screw manouvers on YouTube, looks like fun.

25 knots is cruising not top speed which is 55 mph at 18.8 gallons per hour. :(
