Re: Buying a Boat in Canada

In our boat buying search throughout Washington's Puget Sound area this past week, I was surprised at the availability of moorage. It’s gone from 3 to 5 years waiting lists to available now. Even...

Looking at buying a boat in British Columbia. I’m an Oregon resident.
The US border is close to the boat, so “transfer of title” in US waters would be close. Could be registered in Oregon (no sales...

Don’t know where you are, but
Maybe go up the coast to Ganges, Nanaimo, down to Sidney or Victoria.
To get off the island go international and head to Friday Harbor.

It doesn't get any more protected than that. You may get some wind over the lower...

My GPSMAP 498

My unit worked fine last summer. I fired it up last week only to discover a dark display (like a night time display). I can see it well enough to see the brightness adjustment bar, but changing it...

They were on the hull just below the hull/deck seam - they weren't red but black.
But just as you described. And very hard to get off.
I recall using a...

You will probably live longer.
And you will live out the best part of your life wondering, why isn't everyone doing this.
Congrats.

This was dry wood,...
