Having said that, Flexible panels are the way to go, would not go back to fixed heavy weight glass panels on a boat or motor home,

Had all mine replaced by Solbian Twice!!, Fading issues and bad connection boxes on top, very expensive, would rather use cheap Chinese panels and chuck them out after 3 years

Your exactly spot on, same people over here that ruin it, boats falling apart that never go anywhere. Makes you wonder how they can afford the slip cost!!!

Yes, did this trip down last year and had very little clearance on the shallow parts with 2.1 keel depth and worked the tides. good to hear the dredge has been through ,not sure what can be done...

In Australia you have to have your tanks hydro tested every 12 months or they won't fill them. Even if your 1 week over. Crazy :banghead:

That is exactly my point!! A 50ft banger purchased for 10K will never be brought back to it's former glory, maybe a handful, but the majority will end up lying on the bank half sunk with the owners...

reckon that just about answers the original question, go Telstra prepaid, use a cheap phone as your WIFI hotspot , put it in a booster cradle and connect to a decent sized laptop for your weather...
