With Cmake you can make a nice toolchain file to define the cross compilers and then configure the build with.

--with-macosx-sdk=/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk
--with-macosx-version-min=10.7

It used the wxConfig command, make the custom one first in the path. I think it's the same for gtk but i have not had to customize they ever.

I have two functions i work on a bit to make a localized swedish version much better. At least for me. Fist when rendering CM93 charts, Swedish names are in the charts as Goeteborg, not Göteborg this...

Ubuntu 11.04 is my favorite os for OpenCPN, the unity window manager is great for giving as much as possible screen surface for the navigation.
