Re: yanmar 3gm30f hose size

Thanks for replying.

Not the raw water pump hoses. The 3 larger hoses circulating the coolant through the heat exchanger and thermostat.

I'm currently sitting out weather in Norman's Cay headed toward George Town. With time I've been checking my spare parts and realized I don't have spares for the larger hoses on the yanmar. ...

I am currently anchored near Panama City, Fl., awaiting crew and a window to cross the Apalachee Bay. I can't figure the best place to jump off to and from. I'm assuming it's Apalachecola to Tarpon...

TCM. I hope you'll keep us informed of your progress, especially if you go ahead with the frigomar system. I've been watching it a while waiting for my current Dometic to die. I'd love to have a...

Re: Which Bahamas cruising guide

I like mxmariner for AC bc it becomes active at 8 mile scale compared to navionic, which becomes active at .2 miles. Only downside is limited Bahamas charts.

Which Bahamas cruising guide

Leaving for the Southern Bahamas in December 2019. I've always heard the Explorer cruising guides are best. However, it has not been updated since 2017. Is it still the best choice?

Re: Yanmar clattering noise

It also does not clatter in reverse: different ratio in reverse and it's pulling out not pushing in. It runs perfect once it gets past that rpm.

Re: Yanmar clattering noise

Possible, however it does not clatter every time. It seems to clatter more once it has run a while. Heat expands something?

I have a clattering problem with my yanmar 3gm30f on my beneteau 36cc. As I accelerate in forward, motor often shakes profusely at about 1400 rpms, then settles most of the time. Sometime I must go...

Re: Anchor Windlass requires a running engine

Bingo, same reasoning. Further, I utilized the wires, running from the windlass solenoid to the switch at the motor, to put an up/down windlass switch at my console. Just had to supply power to...

Re: Engine very rough at low rpms - why?

Ostinato,
One questions.... Once it was opened up were there visible signs of wear, such as a broken spring, etc.?

Thanks again,
Greg.

Re: A/C For 37' Endeavor

When my current AC stops working I'm going to look into a variable speed compressor. The startup is not so drastic; thus, a small generator could be used.
