Dirk,

With 2 relative cheap GNSS sensors (u-blox F9) you can get easily up to 3-6 cm accuracy and convergence within seconds.

You could try an App like GNSS viewer (I'm a fan) if it even it sees satellites. You will know very fast if it has an internal GPS

To start with, I dont have a W10 system with a build-in GPS receiver. I do have multiple u-blox GPS/GNSS receivers around. All with a USB connection and I see no significant increase in the CPU usage...
