Re: Manson Surpreme Rock Slot
The Manson literature suggests the lower hole in the shank is the "higher holding" position. This may or may not be true in other bottoms but here in the Caribbean my MS set on it's side most of the... |

Re: How much does it cost to live aboard while cruising the Caribbean Islands?
I think the real answer to the cost of cruising is "everything you've got" (and probably a few dollars more). You're better off sitting down and starting your own budget; you'll know whether... |

Re: Engine Room Ventilation
Thanks Kiwikat, I look forward to hearing from you. There's two issues here for me. Safe and sufficient air supply for the diesels and the penetration of the bulkheads by the intake ducting. If I... |

Engine Room Ventilation
My ex-charter Bahia 46 has two 60 mm ventilation hoses for each engine that appear to breath from behind the silver "Bahia" logo at the sterns. She also has an additional 75mm hose that penetrates... |

Re: Orientation of Membranes in Schenker 60 RO
Thanks Tellie, I'll check the direction of flow of the HP hoses before buttoning up. I was pretty sure something was wrong when two seals pointed at each other...cheers |

Orientation of Membranes in Schenker 60 RO
The RO unit is next for maintenance. Dissassembly of pressure vessels showed an illogocal orientation of the membranes. Does anyone know the correct placement? I'm guessing the "flow" starts at back... |

Re: Will an Upgrade from a 36' Cat to a 40'-er Have Less Pitching ?
I think there are more factors in whether a cat pitches than just water line length. I was walking down the line of cats in the boatyard where my boat is currently stored and it struck me how... |

Re: Will an Upgrade from a 36' Cat to a 40'-er Have Less Pitching ?
You may be disappointed to discover that a Lipari 41 is actually 39 foot long. So is a Lavezzi 40. It appears the accountants and salesmen got control of Fountaine Pajot for awhile. I believe a... |

The Fine Details of Epoxy Use

I'm pretty sure the loops on the sugar scoops are strictly for handholds as you clamber in from your dinghy. One of mine is dented, i.e. the loop is ss tubing, not solid steel and the fixings are far... |
