Re: Corvette eng fuel use

I have been wondering the same.

I come from a sailing background and am now considering a power boat.

I have seen a couple of Carvers around 31' , 10k displacement and twin engines. One small...

Re: Stopping in CUBA to refuel....

Thank you for sharing that.

I have been looking forward to a Cuba trip and was extremely disappointed when I heard you that restrictions where back.

Looks like I may still get there :)

Me too!

Unfortunately, I don't have high expectations for our current Congress, regardless of party, accomplishing much.

Re: Best kind of Jet Ski

Not here.

It is bad behavior that I despise. It just happens the group of ill behaved people we are discussing are driving the same kind of boat.

Re: Best kind of Jet Ski

Bit off topic, but that reminds me of one particular dive I had an idiot pull his 50'+ boat right up to my diver down float/flag and drop his anchor 10' from me & my buddy.

He proceeded to drop a...

Re: Best kind of Jet Ski

Sorry, I thought I had mentioned in my first post that I have ridden them and still do not care for them. I may have mentioned in my second post that bad behavior by a few can result in a bad image...

Re: Best kind of Jet Ski

Unfortunately we have no mechanism for keeping the idiots off of those powerful and fast machines.

It also seems that many otherwise responsible adults turn into teenagers when they climb on a...

Re: Best kind of Jet Ski

I have ridden them in the past and done so with respect to other boaters & swimmers.

As a boater & diver, personally dislike them. I don't know why but they do seem to bring out bad behavior .

Re: Does this sound like a pipe dream?

I have never built a boat.

I have built a couple of houses and am currently working on my 3rd bus (to RV) conversion.

I can't tell you how many people told me "you are better off buying one...

I will happily trade places with you this winter so you can enjoy the snow.

I despise the stuff.

Re: WiFi rebroadcaster

The RougeWave looks pretty slick. I looked at it a while back and saw some mixed reviews when it comes to WiFi systems that require sign in. How has yours worked for you?

Re: WiFi rebroadcaster

If the marina's you visit have the ability and are willing to "whitelist" your MAC that is wonderful. That would be the simplest route.

I took the OP's question was how to accommodate the login...

Re: CrowdFunding

It works for me.

Perhaps in this case the broker could do a little bit of research and spend a an hour inspecting the boat?

I don't think that there is any excuse for "no info" ads other than laziness.

The ads...

Re: Does this sound like a pipe dream?

Welcome Csnlynn,

I like your idea. Try Googling "shanty boats" and "Great Loop Trip". I think that you will find a wealth of relevant information.

Have fun!!
