Re: Shopping for insurance - admit it's a liveaboard or not?
Many insurance companies (especially sub standard ones) exclude drivers not on policy. So if you are driving a vehicle insured this way you and the person who has the insurance won't be covered |

Re: Sub-30 Foot Sailboat Power
I used to sail on a Seaforth 24 back in the late 70's It had either a diesel or a outboard that was set in a well in the cockpit. It was a great set up for an outboard. |

Re: How to Prepare for Lightening Strike?
I grew up in the Miami area during the Cuban missle crisis. I think what we were taught and practiced to do in case of atomic attack( honest to god truth) would work here. You crawl under your desk... |

Re: Florida Keys for the winter?
You could try Gilberts Marina on Jewfish Creek. It's just north of Key Largo. It's a liveaboard marina. Prices wern't to bad when I checked a couple of years ago. |

Re: Advisability Sailing to Bimini in December on a Potter

Re: Top 10: Equipment for Cruising
Couldn't resist first post. After a well found boat I think #1 would be a bimini sun protection system. In the tropics if you can't get out of the sun it doesn't matter what else you have life sucks. |
