Many insurance companies (especially sub standard ones) exclude drivers not on policy. So if you are driving a vehicle insured this way you and the person who has the insurance won't be covered

I used to sail on a Seaforth 24 back in the late 70's It had either a diesel or a outboard that was set in a well in the cockpit. It was a great set up for an outboard.

If you go a little further than Pumpkin Key you will go thru Jewfish Creek into Blackwater Sound. Not much for beaches but plenty of bar/restaurants that are dog friendly Also take the time to stop...

You could try Gilberts Marina on Jewfish Creek. It's just north of Key Largo. It's a liveaboard marina. Prices wern't to bad when I checked a couple of years ago.

I would look into a dock behind a private home somewhere up the river thats protected. In Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area you can find these for $10/12 ft.

Couldn't resist first post. After a well found boat I think #1 would be a bimini sun protection system. In the tropics if you can't get out of the sun it doesn't matter what else you have life sucks.
