The Tiki 38 has only three beams and a "half beam" supporting the aft mast.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
I agree with your comment. I could only see 12 pictures, but it seems to me that there are side extensions (wings) in the inner side of the hulls, hence the bigger space.

I thought I had lost the interior pictures of the SC34 with the wing berths, but I have found them. The first is of the stern bunk, the two following ones are of a passage under the cockpit, then...

Here is a couple of pictures of a SC34 with wing berths that I found in the web a few years ago. Unfortunately I don't have any interior pictures.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
It is a Wharram Tangaroa MK 1, but the cabins are not as in the plans. This is why it looks different.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
It looks like a Hortsman's inspired design. To me the Tristar 35 has more streamlined lines.

It was a long time ago. I think he liked it, but he prefers a catamaran. I was inside and I found it very spacious, more than I expected.

It is working fine. It would be nice if you could share more pictures, in particular of the interior. The Klis 3 is a very interesting trimaran, with a good interior volume. A really cruising tri....

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
There is another virtue of the flexible connections, it gives a very soft ride. But your reasons for prefering a fixed connection are very valid and I am not going to argue against that.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
The Tangaroa is one of the classic designs, it uses metal brackets and a high compression rubber blocks to attach the beams to the hulls. In the Tangaroa picture they are hidden by the bulwarks, but...

It is not a Tiki. The shape of the hull is of the classic designs. It looks more like an enlarged Tangaroa. It also seems to have a narrow overall beam than the Tangaroa MK4, it does not seem to be...

Re: No love for trimarans - why?
I think there is a little confusion. Andy Smith, who is a professional Wharram builder, has also built a Triskell trimaran, designed by Gilles Montaubin. But there are no Wharram trimarans.

I like very much the Horstmann tris and found very interesting your comments. Your boat does have a LAR keel and the daggerboards or only the keel?
