Re: Bluetti EP500 pro Power Station

Dont bother, you can easily build bigger and better with quality parts. Then if something fails just the part can be replaced. SOK now does a marine lithium 208 ah battery in a water tight plastic...

Re: Hulls split down the middle

I saw a youtube video of some one with a cat of some sort. The bridge deck and inner side of the hulls where one piece, the outer side of the hull was bonded and tabbed on. The maker filled the...

Re: Leopard 50 burns and sinks

Acetone is very flammable as was stated in this thread, the real issue with it is it evaporates very quickly and the fumes build up. The fumes are explosive in the right mixtures, but it is a flash...

Re: Extending a Lagoon 40

Colin is adding sugar scope extensions to his lagoon 450. All glass a foam/honey comb, mostly for a bigger bottom step.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

looks like both hulls have taken impacts, not long term one but enough to scratch up the gelcoat. If its a balsa core thats enough to cause delam. But your right it does not look too bad.
But I...

Re: New Excess Catamarans!

First we all like what we like. I dont like the mack truck windows, although they are probably great in sunny warm weather. I just dont like the vertical windows.

I like the leopard boats, I like...

Re: Aluminium catamarans.

They fully spray foam them, so heat should not be an issue. But it means checking back side of the hull is next to impossible.

Re: Best Reviews on YouTube.

I am wondering if they bought the 1260 to live on until the new one is built. Not a bad idea if you get a deal on it. IE they bought it knowing they can sell it in a year and only have a 10k...

Re: Aluminium catamarans.

I agree, the only issue is a regular fab shop might not be ready for the distortion that happens when it is welded. Go look at jupiter 2 build videos and see how much they put in to stiffeners to...

Re: Aluminium catamarans.

Mumby/cypher cats are also AL. check out the below channel, he has a vid series where he visits his boat as its built. At one point he states its costing him 300k, for a 48 footer. I am not sure how...

Re: Lagoon 42 vs everything else

I have not been on or sailed any of the boats in this thread, just to get that out there.

I personally like galley down, and dont feel the need for dual helms. Auto pilot will be doing 95% of the...

Re: Dry storage in the north east?

Check harrington harbour on the chesapeake. Not the cheapest but good location, not too far up the bay and less than an hour from a few major air ports.

After seeing a few posts on the facebook group about the "fix" and what lagoon is saying. I dont think their response of we will do everything to make it right is any where near correct. Between a...

I have tried to find some info on the pro kennex boats, there is not much. Found some old for sale posts that are all dead links.

Hello, Dennis.
First I did not use the where bashed, except stating where other people used the words. I did say get bad vibs, the big one was going on about the size of the cockpit table on one...

I think he is a good guy. I really think his videos put pressure on lagoon, just by getting the info out in the wild.

I do think him getting the problem out did cause a drop in the value of the...

Re: Used catamaran project

I like the looks of that boat a lot. But from what I have seen ( youtube ) most people seem to take a year on total rebuilds. Sure could you do it faster, yes but its a full time job.

I second...

Re: weight difference on Leopard

I find this extremely good info, the 38 is kind of my front runner of choice. I wonder what the performance of a 38 to a 39 is, ie is the 38 that much faster on average.

The one thing is they talk...

Re: What is the oyster marine of the catamarans? It's personal

I have heard privilege's labeled as the rolls royce of cats, and from what I have seen on sailing zatara it seems to be accurate. They are not speed boats, but just very pretty and solid comfortable...
