Re: Unethical Practice by my Boat Yard?

They have NO obligation to you.... I believe as the owner of the vessel, it is incumbent upon us to ask the questions.
Did you ask the possibilities of what the issue could be? Did you ask if the...

Re: [FL] Sale of a USCG documented boat, buyer didn’t transfer into his name

This forum is NOT a political soapbox so so don't make it one.... the issue is, whomever the new owner is, is that people are generally flakes; crackhead ho's or otherwise. It is not the sellers...

Re: Does your toe rail sweat inside the boat?

I am not familiar with the size of the gap you are looking to fill. As others mentioned expanding foam is not a good idea; it is messy and off-gasses for some time.

Re: My wife just said the best thing to me.

[QUOTE=Captain Graham;3724067]
My wife does not like getting her hands wet.

Doesn't like to "get her hands wet" and she is on a boat?? I guess we know, beyond a stew, who the deck hand is.......

Re: Converting cooling system for Salt Water?

Can't be certain on the logic of a raw water cooling system not being suitable for ocean cruising.

I am in salt water 100% in the Puget Sound. My engines are Mercruiser Horizon big blocks. The...

Re: Sailing boat overrun by motoryacht, deadly accident

my objections to powerboats running so close to sailboats.

Re: Overly Strict Marina Rules? Or Am I Just New to "Premier" Marinas?

The manager I spoke with said that they would rather lose business than compromise their image and start allowing in boats that intend on doing "major refits" at their marina; they only want...

Re: Anode disappear after 1 year

That is not entirely true. If a marina has older boats that do not have an galvanic isolator or a bonding system for that matter stray currents are common. I am located in a marina that has a large...

Re: Help from strangers while docking? A poll and my rambling musings.

Point taken, but the fuel dock employees are very specific individuals and the few.... that is not what was represented in the opening threads.
If you have a problem with a specific fuel dock over...

Re: Help from strangers while docking? A poll and my rambling musings.

[QUOTE=Atcowboy;3612696]I've been hanging around public docks in Florida for months now as vagabonds do and have gotten to watch many docking attempts as such.

Even though I single hand, I...

In all seriousness, I recreationally guide...

ALL things boating are...

Re: "critical" lead level in transmission fluid for boat under contract

The high lead levels are an indication of the solder breaking down in your oil cooler (solder the copper passages separating raw water from oil). Not big deal...
