Re: Warning to Fishers & Seafood Lovers

Hey Rognvald, Thanks for the explanation. I haven't fished Florida in many years, and when I did, it was mostly in central areas. But while down in Miami, a guy told me some stories about ciguatoxin,...

Re: Crimping Kit

On a related note:
NEVER use any crimp/strip tool that resembles the picture I attached.
I know that MHT touches on how bad of a crimp tool they are, but, he touches on how bad of a job they do. ...

Re: Best way to get adhesive from peel and stick velco off the hull

At Lowes they have a product called Zep Vandal remover. I've removed Thousands of feet of Vinyl adhesive over the years. The graffiti, vandal, marker, and adhesive removers from ZEP and 3M work the...

Re: Please (try to) avoid sailing/transiting through race courses

As far as the Trawler goes... what an a**.

As far as the cruisers. it seems like you're asking the cruisers to alter their course. and on its face, it does sounds like a reasonable and polite...

Several of the posts here sound like a group of guys at the Veterans Hall talking about the "Good ol' Days." The truth is, change is necessary and inevitable. Those unwilling to adapt, learn, and...

Re: Atricles. What types of articles do you like to see in magazines?

All great questions, but maybe not the right ones.
Even if "Sailing", the general topic of sailing, is in decline (and I don't believe it is)
Is power generation: solar, wind, batteries in...

Re: Charged after visiting a boat for sale! Has anyone ever had this happen?

Re: Rooting the grooves in Teakdeck deeper, what to use to guide the rooter

Re: Rooting the grooves in Teakdeck deeper, what to use to guide the rooter

So, you can router the grooves by fixing/screwing a straight edge to the teak. You would just use the router housing as a guide. Obviously, a plunge router would be best. This would put screw holes...
