Re: Transferring Routes, GPX files, to new Raymarine Axiom Hybrid Touch

I am not seeing this in the latest (March 2024) Lighthouse documentation. I have also been told you can do this through the Raymarine phone ap, but it looks like maybe only if you use Lighthouse...

Re: European Insurance Coverage for US Citizen

We had difficulty getting Europe coverage on our USA boat and we had great service and pricing from Hayes Parsons in the UK. We are covered currently for Northern Europe and for Atlantic crossing. We...

Re: Compost head use?

I love our Natures Head. What I would change is keep the black water tank and run the liquids into it instead of using the pee tank on the head. That is the only smelly part and unpleasant process of...

Re: NV-Charts

Are these the digital charts you get as part of the purchase of NV printed charts? Can you use the one year subscription from NV that is meant for their APP or on the web version of their navigation...

Re: Weather 4D App Review: An alternative to Predict Wind

I think my issue with it is the cost of the charts for Weather 4D. Savvy Navvy includes the entire world of charts. Weather 4D charges by region and some are quite expensive...as much as Navionics...

Re: How to de-install marine head for composting

I recommend keeping the black water tank and using it to direct from the liquids portion of the composting toilet. Carrying the tank throught the boat is a pain. And you can likely discharge the...

Re: Weather 4D App Review: An alternative to Predict Wind

Are you still liking the app? I have been using a similar app: Savvy Navvy and really enjoy it but this one appears to be a good rival. SN does routing, charting, planning and incorporates tides and...

Re: Compact roll-up dinghy????

We decided on the True Kit catamaran style dinghy for the reasons you list. It rolls up with no rigid floor to deal with but motor and rows efficiently, unlike a flat bottom monohull dinghy. It is...

Re: Problems with 5.8.4 I need help with

I turned off INLAND ECDIS mode and that seems to have fixed it for now. The TOOLBAR is staying put on the left.

What is this toolbar?

I have just updated my OCPN (and having other toolbar issues waiting to get an answer on). There is a new toolbar that I cannot find information about in the manual...what is it? See attached photo.

Problems with 5.8.4 I need help with

I am running OpenCPN 5.8.4 and reinstalled last weekend on Windows 11 laptop with touchscreen (if that is an issue). I have a few glitches I cannot seem to fix on my own or find answers in the forum....

Re: Are rotten decks a death sentence?

We had deck rot throughout a fiberglass cored deck (1970's build) and it was taken care of by drilling and pumping in epoxy. That was in 19080's and was still good in 2020's. It required...

Re: Icom M803 SSB headphones

Did you try out Richard’s adapter? If so what headset did you pair with it? I am looking at that as an option for my 803. I can listen to weatherfax and RTTY all day but my crew is not a fan.

Have you found the correct connection? I see in my manual for the 803 the USB B plug marked "maintenance" seems to be the logical spot. The only two pin plug I see is for external speaker. Nothing...

We have signed on with them (Global Yacht Coverage/Great Lakes). Hopefully all I ever need to do is pay them annually and never have a call to use them for a claim.

Re: Possible to output GPS data from Raymarine AIS700 using NMEA 0183?

Thank you for the update. I was wondering if the Raymarine NMEA adapter would work for this. My VHF has its own GPS so just need it for the ICOM M803SSB. It is a new install so I am trying to use it...

Re: Possible to output GPS data from Raymarine AIS700 using NMEA 0183?

Did that solution work out? I also am trying to get location data to an ICOM Marine SSB radio. I tried the pink and blue output from AIS700 and the voltage is not right and it is not fluctuating (3...
