i was expecting the same for my alternators and wanted to test this myself but my batteries didnt suck all the alternator output so that din't happen

i tried charging flat lifepo4 batteries as well. voltage was below 12v and alternator was cold. if so shouldn't i had to see some high amps before alternator throttles because of temperature or...

so you can take full 40 amp from your alternator. istill wonder why i can't take 125amps. whats the point it it drops after 10minutes why they label it as 125 amps?

what i understand from your reply is the valeos regulate itself and drop the current when get hot ? like after 10 minutes ? this could be the reason than. its a shame they get hot after 10 mins though

why would they do that ? it's the stock alternator on yanmar engine.what's the point of putting a pulley which won't run the alternator at full power ? and if this is the case then why people buying...

yes i know but the interesting bit is i didn't use these. technically i would expect my alternators to run hot and burn but that didn't happen.

I connected lithium batteries to alternator. I've 2 alternators (catamaran) they are rated @125 amps however charging is 40-50 amps max. 2 at the same time maybe 70-80 max. what is limiting the...

mechanic shop welded and filled the areas but people say sleeve method is better. are there any downsides for filling with weld? it not healthy or stronger?

sail drive is yanmar sd-60

i already took of the drive shaft and have access to the seals. i also have the new seals and orings not sure how to take them off and put new ones ?

thanks worth checking just in case..funny that while trying to enhance the life of battery it can also cause additional problems.i can adjust mptt to charge at that voltage.never went that hight but...

my system is dropin too. it's nice to be able to see the individual cell voltages and monitor them, but if it works who cares and i don't want to cut the boxes :) btw, i saw you used bruteforce but...

i'm suprised that the dally bms didnt do its work and you had to cut off the battery. normally its a good brand for a bms.

i wonder what brand were your batteries ? i'm suprised that the bms of your drop in was daly brand

also how did it go at the end ? did active balancer fixed your problems?

yes i know it’s nmea network just the connectors are different but i’m trying to find the male/female connectors of this type. so if anyone knows if possible or what is the name of the connectors...
