Re: Any tips for removing Kiwi Grip ?

Dave, the best advice would be for you to first contact the manufacturer before seeking advice from any other source.

Re: Cruising in vietnam

A good source of info is always https://www.noonsite.com. There was some very relevant information there for cruising Vietnam.

Re: Canadian Sewage Discharge Rules

The only thing I can add is the the Canadian Coast Guard does not accept a composting head as a marine sanitation device.

Re: Crewman available in West Michigan area

You might have better luck joining a local yacht club. You don't need a boat to join and someone is always looking for crew.

Re: Shredded belts after lifepo4 upgrade

As a workaround, consider trying a belt dressing product; usually in an aerosol.

Re: Advice on head replacement

Did nobody suggest first trying to clean the original valve before chucking everything?

Re: 2 head, single hand, bluewater cruisers?

I think there is another way of looking at the requirements for single-handing and that is the maximum sale area you feel comfortable sailing with. For me, that's about 300 square feet. Beyond this,...

Curious. What was your cruising grounds during these last two years? Was the boat in motion a lot during this time?

Re: Coppercoat after 6 months away

Does anyone know if it is possible to filter out posts not mentioning Coppercoat? I find this thread has too much crap not related to the OP's topic.

Re: Exuma Cays – How Commonly Two Anchors are Used

Not really too sure where to start here but perhaps with the name would be best. A Bahamian Mooring doesn't really have anything to do with the Bahamas, its just a name, not unlike the drink –...

Re: Lithium Powered Windlass

[QUOTE=a64pilot;3048675]No reason why it shouldn’t work if the battery is large enough.
Where and how are you going to charge it?

This would pretty much have to be back at the inverter to...

Lithium Powered Windlass

A friend replaced his manual windlass by installing his new powered windlass. Running the cables was the hardest (and quite expensive) part of the job according to him. It was a while later that I...

Re: Day tank only for diesel Dickinson?

It's been a while but if I recall from my installation the first thing is to get the flue operating well; it'll pay off big in the end. A minimum flue length of 4 feet (there is a maximum but I don't...

Re: Day tank only for diesel Dickinson?

I've done a number of years as a Winter liveaboard in Toronto and used a Dickinson stove (a really good stove by the way). I ran with a day tank pumped from the main tank via a Y valve. For a day...
