Re: Putting a slight bend in 1" SS Tubing

The type with the central hydraulic jack pusher is easiest to use and Definitely easiest to kink piping.

Re: Why do we not see open array radar antennas on sailboats?

The 'wings' on a radar antenna improve adjacent target discrimination. For a slow-moving sailboat helm, it is not vital to know if it is one or two targets which intercept ones track. It is...

[QUOTE=Kettlewell;3839133]I've noticed that my Crosby 209A anchor shackles (the high test alloy ones) are prone to rust seriously. /snip/QUOTE]

I am surprised nobody in this thread mentioned...

Re: Induction Cooking info and experience.

1 (US) gal of water = 3.79 kg

Heating this amount of water from 15 degC to 100 degC (+85) takes
3790 X 4.2 X 85 = 1353000 joules = 376 Watt.hour at least

That's about 0.4 kW.hr or 13 minutes...

Re: LFP Available Short Circuit Current

The NEC seems to propose matching the current conductor to be protected with an OCPD of at least 125% of that maximal conductor current in order to protect that conductor. Some batteries of Li-ion...
