Re: Catamaran Haul-Out Marinas

For what it is worth, the SneadIsland in Palmetto info is incorrect. They are only able to haul a 19’ beam.

Re: No Oil Pressure. No Problem?

So for what it is worth with my 3ym30s, there is only an alarm and no actual oil pressure readings. The instrument panel(s) are not original and they allow you to scroll through the voltage, oil...

Re: Engine Belt

It seems like it is pretty common with my 3YM30s when interacting with other owners. The ones that have switched to the equivalent Gates belts are getting much more life. I have a set for both motors...

Re: Miami to Bimini Mid January 2019

Unless you have had a really big blow, 24 hours of “favorable” winds is more than enough in my experience, but there are a lot of factors like what is happening to the north of you. (as in a large...

Re: Why does Yanmar recommend leaving SD20 in neutral while sailing

I guess I will continue with the thread creep, but I have flexofolds with my SD20. Have used the GoPro to check them out underway and they have always been folded.

Yanmar starter relay

In your first post Mike, I didn't see the reason why you were switching it out.

It was due to intermittent starting?

I had very similar issues.. switched out the starter, new relay etc. It...

Refrigeration - Evaporator vs. Holding Plate

Actually, Richard would have not "inferred" he would have "implied." You would have "inferred" something from his comment.

Did you change the Racor and the secondary filter. I have had the exact symptoms and it was the secondary filter element.

It is entertaining for many...

Raymarine MFD and AIS

I have a Raymarine A65 MFD with a 3rd party AIS. The AIS works great, but I am having issues getting it to talk to the A65. I "thought" it would be as simple as connecting it to the NMEA 2000 network...

I bought a PVC Dynamic Rib and really had no issues for the 5 years I owned it. I am about to purchase another one to go with the new boat.

Re: Portable Generator on Boat

Obi,

Did you use a capacitor or the "Smart Start" by Dometic? All the reports I have heard have said that using the Smart Start module solved the problem.
