I've always felt Stuart & Ft. Myers are actually the safest places to be in FL during hurricane season for this reason. But do you need to get all the way to the other coast? Or do they just anchor...

Re: Induction Hot Plate Startup Wattage?

Ok any more testimonials to the minimum "pulse wattage" for low heat operation? So far I've seen 600-700 & 800.

Induction Hot Plate Startup Wattage?

For those of you with induction hot plates, what wattage does it start up at? I did some brief reading and it appears they start at a set wattage even if you just want low heat (at least the model I...

I topped off the 10lb tank and it still bogs after about 10-15 minutes.

Maxing out inverter wattage?

I have an old Freedom 10 1000w inverter. Couple questions:

1. I've ran appliances / power tools that are rated 10-20% over 1000 watts, but never popped a breaker/fuse. Does the inverter just give...

Re: Solar controller amps vs. what goes in battery

The issue was monitor related. My engine negatives would ideally go to the monitor shunt, but it says 500a max, and I suspect my cummins starting amps are in that range. So engine negatives go to...

Re: Solar controller amps vs. what goes in battery

Well guess i finally have a reason to buy an amp clamp. Recommendations on the brand/model with the right price/capability?

Re: A/C from battery solar (actually realistic scenario?)

Surprised nobody with a big array on a fancy catamaran hasn't chimed in on this. I've read some posts on here by some people with massive lithium banks.
