Thanks for all the advice. As I said, my main concern was water high enough to create major engine problems. I have arranged to have a mechanic check it out. |

Any evidence that at least the lower portion of the engine was under water? I see Some very rusty hose clamps. The lower section of the sound panel quite dirty. Owner says boat has sat in the slip... |

Bahamas charter recommendations
Experienced single handed sailor looking for reputable charter company for a week in the Bahamas. Would probably want a captain for at least a day to gain local knowledge. Open to all destinations. |

How bad was your cylinder? I just used some steel wool so far. Can't imagine the leather needs a perfect surface to pump but maybe I'm wrong. |

That did it! I actually left the actuator arm attached so I could use it to tap with a hammer. Seemed like a better idea than grabbing the shaft with vice grips and and pulling. Would have never come... |
