The 97% completed Opti hull gets to experience its first tropical storm. The biggest risk is being hit by a falling tree limb. First of many, I have no doubt. |

Turned the hull, epoxied the Daggerboard Trunk, mis-cut trunk repair, and seams. Monday we fiberglass the seams and fair the hull. |

All the major wood components are epoxy and/or glassed in. The gunwales and gussets are cut in, epoxied, formed, and sanded. The interior has its first sanding. Turning the boat tomorrow to start... |

The grandson went solo and glassed in the midship bulkhead to the sides, with a little guidance. Epoxied in the daggerboard trunk and used oak for the reinforcement blocks to the hull floor.... |

The floor is 1/2” plywood. The first picture is a frame that the hull is built upon keeping everything with the proper curve and orientation to each other part. This is a classic wood & epoxy build.... |

Day 2; CNC cut and hand-sanded the remainder of the 3/4" material. Rudder, Daggerboard, forward and aft transom reinforcement, and mast thwart. |
