This was the way they suggested do the seatalk would see it , plus if connect to plotter other equipment would only see it if the plotter was turned on .

Pete we in a hot climate. Plus batteries are under our bed but there is a vent going out ,
That said maybe is a good thing as the bedding protect them from air temp and being down to water level...

Surly if your charging at 14.8v on Bulk for one hour how do they get fully charge mine are on Bulk charge for most of the day before going...

Whats size is the thread on the dip stick? Thinking of making up a header tank for the oil and don't want to mix diffent metal parts on the saildrive .

It's only been filled to the min mark so I could keep an eye on the level ,
The drain plus is a possibility as I didn't change the O ring , but surely if it was going to leak it would puss oil out ?...
