Re: What to put in empty hole from old instrument
Sounds like a speaker might be the ticket for a hole that size and a grill provided with one. |

Re: HELP! Can you identify this part?
That board appears to be a laminated board with the circuitry in it. I somehow doubt anyone can give you an answer unless they have had one. |

Re: What is a Ton in Boat Weight
Peggy, what the hell are yacht (boat) mfgs. using in their literature? I'd guess weight. A travel lift operator would care less about the amount wine his slings can take. They may like a beer as... |

Re: Eberspacher vs Planar diesel air heaters.

Re: Two families on one boat
I've always heard, If you want to lose a friend go into business with him. I also think it would take a lot for two woman to survive close quarters. I know that's sexist. |

Re: Advice on electric outboard for a tender / dinghy
I think you have the right idea. Just watch the weather and currents since you won't be over powered. Keep a pair of oars. |

Re: Best liveaboard and cruising choice
I was referring to boatpoker's post. I believe he was being sarcastic about posts that are a bio and have nothing to do with the original post. |

Re: Neg bus bars w/difft voltage?
I would not give a lot of credence to wire color if the boat has been through a no. of owners |

Re: Neg bus bars w/difft voltage?
The terminal block on the left (FACING) looks to be used as a buss with the terminals jumped. The one on the right it appears that only the top three are jumped and the rest are used as independent... |

Re: Electrical current when circuit is off
I'm glad you were chasing a non existing problem and it is resolved. I would hazard a guess you were anchored near a ham operator or someone had their radar on for an anchor watch. It might have been... |

Re: splicing anchor line to chain without thimble.
Ann, That looks like a butt splice in the link. It even simplifies which strand starts out backwards. |

Re: Radar is now redundant ?
It's apples and oranges. Until everything is transmitting I'd opt. for radar. |

Re: Radar is now redundant ?
After 911 I don't doubt it at Hampton Roads or at King's Bay. I'm glad we can do it. |

Re: Tennessee Tombigbee Locks single handed?
As previously said, fender boards would be a good idea and be very nice to the lock keepers. |

Re: Non-marine stoves on a boat
Sorry, Klaxon. I had a hard time finding it also. As I recall works on a bimetal to shut off the gas or keep it on. Not high tech but effective. |
