I had a local metal working shop build me custom 40mm stainless davit arms, with mounting points for solar panels, eyes at the end of each arm, two collars on the uprights to connect to the stern...

The barrel lock in my companion way weather boards fell out a few months ago, and i've not bothered to replace it. The few times i've left the boat in a busy marina, i've spent a minute or two...
