I have Microcommander engine controls. The boat has had 2 lightning strikes and each time the controls were fried. The engines would run but there was no way to get them in gear.

Beware of items going missing. Used to travel to Vietnam and often items would be missing from baggage carried in the aircraft hold. Would definitely talk to the manufacturer about shipping.

Have had 2 lightning strikes. Everything that had a PCB was dead. All displays, electronic engine control, autopilot, washing machine...the lot!
No obvious visual damage on any screens..

Boat and rig are 10 years old. 8 of those years were alongside in the marina or local sailing so very little wear and tear.

I'll contact my insurer and see what they say.
