I find the joystick very useful specialty in coastal Med with lot of traffic. You temp. correct the course (I'm 98% on AP) for some sudden obstacles, as fishing boats, flotillas ... while you are in...

So what's a hurry on passage? 20-40 nm doesn't count that much when cruising. Up wind on long passages? Going fast from A to B is more for power planing boats and racers than concern with cruisers. ...

Buy a few large scale 1:1000000 or + for the start. Invest in pilots it'll help with small scale maps in ports and many other useful info too. You don't need small scale chart for Med except in a few...

On L560 you have to climb up to change direction. How often? Well, in Med quite often with fishing boats, nets, traffic ... This is useful 4 larger cats.

Don't know for throttle but autopilot joystick is very useful in the saloon. On crossing night watches are mainly from the saloon.

Most of the Nordhavns are rigged for flopper stoppers. They say that nothing like them reduce rolling while on hook. Underway some, if equipped, use active stabilizing system but they don't work...

Could be but it's not general.That's why you need appropriate & proven design rigged for sorthanded sailing. A57 have 2 electric Harken B60's which can handle in manual mode this sail easily.

As stacy said there is always a windlass ;) Well, 2 x Harken B70STH is so reliable and there are 2 of them. If central unit or hose or ... go boo boo could loose both, then you still have 2 x 60...
